Bulk Diesel Filtration
- Bulk diesel fuels may leave a refinery clean, but the quality of the fuel can vary at dispensing due to contamination accumulated during transportation and storage.
- Operators report that 90% of engine issues are due to dirt and/or water in the fuel.
- Diesel bug: They are also less commonly known as diesel virus and diesel fungus. It is the water in the fuel tank that the diesel bug survives on, and allows it to reproduce at an extremely fast rate.
- Diesel bug have a short life, but multiply and produce waste deposits before they die and sink to the bottom. Which relates to slugging and particle contamination.
